When outsourcing relationships lead to travel
Remote delivery does not eliminate face-to-face work. Founders, product managers, vendor leads and specialist teams may travel to Canada for project kickoffs, executive meetings, conferences, training, client visits or implementation work. If the destination is Vancouver, it helps to separate immigration planning from local transportation planning.
Check entry requirements first
Canada’s immigration rules depend on citizenship, travel history and the purpose of the visit. The Government of Canada says business visitors generally come for activities such as meetings, conferences or short training while remaining based and paid outside Canada. Travellers should use the official Canada.ca tools to determine whether they need a visitor visa or may qualify for an electronic travel authorization.
Plan the airport arrival around the actual group
Vancouver International Airport offers several ground-transportation options. Small parties with flexible timing may use transit, taxi or rideshare. Larger groups, executives carrying equipment or visitors with a fixed meeting schedule may prefer prearranged commercial transportation. YVR specifically recommends that larger groups coordinate with an approved commercial vehicle operator for prearranged pickups.

A visiting team may have a free afternoon before meetings or after a conference. Build travel logistics into the project schedule
Do not schedule a critical workshop immediately after an international arrival. Allow for immigration, baggage, ground transportation and jet lag. A transport provider cannot determine whether a visitor is permitted to work in Canada, and a business invitation does not guarantee entry. Use official government sources for immigration questions and transportation providers only for the local movement they actually supply.
